Message from the Chairman

We apologise to all our members for the inconvenience of cancelling this month’s excursion along with the AGM. As infection figures and casualty rates can testify SA, along with the UK, appear to be experiencing a much more infectious strain of the Covid virus and the government has imposed Level 3 restrictions accordingly. As many of our members, though by no means all, are on the more senior side of life, which means they are more vulnerable, your committee decided that it was in the best interests of all concerned to cancel excursions going forward until further notice

While that decision is a serious disappointment for us all, I am delighted to be able to inform you that in the same breath the committee determined that subs will remain unchanged this year, at R200. The club’s finances remain strong so the decision will not adversely touch the club funds, whilst alleviating the financial burden on our members of the customary annual increase. As always, prompt payment of 2021 subscriptions is very much appreciated.
